Dr. GE Cummings has been a part of our church since the late summer of 2016 and the lead shepherd ministering to our church family since October of 2017.  He has been a follower of Jesus since early childhood and active in ministry since age seventeen.  In August of 1995 he was ordained to the ministry and embarked on a seven year mission project planting a church among the Hupa Nation in Northern California's redwood forests.  He has pastored in California, and Oregon and served in ministry in Washington as well.  Pastor Jerry has been a staff writer for the Baptist Sunday School Committee, a Newspaper Publisher, a Radio Broadcaster and Broadcast Minister, as well as an Entreprenuer.  He has a Doctorate of Philosophy in the fields of Sacred Literature and Sacred History.  He is a father and husband.  He and his wife, Letitia, live here in Saint Helens and are both Northwesterners.   His ministry method can be summarized in our church motto "a safe place to be broken".
